TN. Nov 16, 2013. #5. My Saturn lived on SuperTech most of its life. I consistently got around 36 MPG on it and the engine was whisper quiet. I used Royal Purple for awhile and never broke 34, plus the engine was noisier. I switched to Mobil1 0w-30 and got my MPG back, but the engine was still noisy. ( I don't know what oil was in it, the filter was a white one, don't know who made it.) I put in Mobil 1 synthetic10w-30 and a Fram PH16 filter. From the start the oil pressure was about 10# lower (40). After reading here about filters, I changed to a Super Tech ST 16.
