Hi all, I recently picked up a 99 Xplorer 400 4x4 for a few hundred bucks due to the amount of work it needs. Overall it seems to be in good shape with nothing bent, minimal rust, plastics are good, etc. The main issue is that it won't go into gear. You should disassemble the carb and clean it. The 400 explorer came out in 1995. I purchased a new 1996 and had it until 2008 only issue I had was the key for the speedo cable kept breaking after replacing twice I gave up. In 2007 put in a new starter and chains and sprockets.
