2024 Marlin 39a firing pin

My son has a Marlin 39A that my father bought new in 1946. Yesterday we went to the range, and the rifle fired one round then stopped. Further attempts to fire leave not a mark on the case rim. I imagine the problem is a broken firing pin. Not being a lever guy, I thought I'd come here for info.. Comcast outage by zip code

I believe that S/N should put your rifle at 1906. Can't help with prices, but shouldn't be too much on the firing pin, and worth every penny! The firing pin floats in the bolt and depending on how clean the channel is that the pin rides in it will sometimes keep the firing pin from moving freely.
