If it's brown and yucky, you might have worn out the transmission gears by driving on old fluid. My 2005 does the same thing and it only has 110,000 miles on it.The noise is usually more noticeable when the engine is warm. Probable cause. The rocker shaft bridge has excessive clearance which causes the rocker shaft to rotate and make noise. Vehicles affected. 2008-2010 Accord V6 -- ALL. Some of 2011 Accord V6. 2013 Accord EX-L V6, 4 door, Modern Steel Metallic.2009 Honda Accord whining noise. 40. Asked by doverbp Sep 04, 2012 at 05:12 PM. Question type: Maintenance & Repair. Has anyone else had this?.
