TEXN. 44 Posts. I know the Chamberlain is a VERY expensive, for-profit school. Fortunately, my education is mostly taken care of due to military benefits. My concern now is the reputation of Chamberlain and if going to this school will have a negative impact on finding a job as an RN in the future. From what I read, reviews are mixed.Great school overall, but I wish there were more clubs. I miss the GSA at my last college but simply don't have to cojones to try to start one here. Students are nice, very diverse (though mostly women, as are most nursing programs). Nice campus, though small, but you'll never have to park too far from the door! Year-round giving tree is adorable.The typical actual cost that students pay to attend (average net price) is less at Grand Canyon University than Chamberlain College of Nursing-Addison ($21,939 vs. $26,362) Living costs (room and board or off-campus housing budget) at Grand Canyon University are 78.5% lower than costs at Chamberlain College of Nursing Illinois ($7,800 vs. $13,920).
