2024 8n ford carburetor adjustment

I know it has been told on here 1000 times before, but I couldn"t find it. I bought a new carb for my 1950 8N with a side mount dist. and 12 volt system....if that makes any difference. I was wondering if someone could tell me how to adjust it when I put it on.. Grand marais mn web cameras

Most 9n's never had timing marks on the motor to go by. I've never dealt with the EI, but normally there is a screw on the side of the distributor that adjusts the timing. you loosen the screw then move it up or down to adjust.

It's most likely that your Float adjustment has been altered, or you could have bent it. It sounds like you need to set it slightly lower.
